The Baby Book-Online - Time Warner Interactive



Created for Road Runner, Time Warner's high-speed online service, this site allows users to search through the text by keywords, locating everything a parent needs to know about child-raising in the nineties. A diagnostic section helps them to determine the seriousness of common childhood illnesses.



Bartlett's Familiar Quotations - Time Warner Interactive



Launched Road Runner's Akron, Ohio system, "Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, Expanded Multimedia Edition" brings the ultimate quotations reference title to cable modem. Featuring the full text of the title, this site allows users to search by author, key word, topic, source and date range for their favorite quotes, whether for sheer enjoyment or literary pursuit.


The Virtual Garden - Time Warner Interactive



The Virtual Garden offers horticulturists, part-time gardeners, and flower lovers the ability to research gardening topics across a library of books, discover holiday decorating ideas and learn the latest in landscaping techniques. Based on the groundbreaking Pathfinder version, this site offers users the ability to find their perfect plant by entering criteria (climate, light, etc.) into a search, and viewing full-screen pictures of the plants that are selected to best match their needs.



St. Joseph's Hospital - Time Warner Interactive



Bringing medical information and local services to the home was the goal behind the development of a site for St. Joseph's, a local Elmira hospital. Through accessing this site, citizens can find out about support groups and community services, receive detailed health information about everything from immunizations to mammography, and even explore the floor layout at the hospital via a series of selectable maps.


CD-ROM

The Baby Book CD-ROM -Time Warner Interactive



Developed for Time Warner Interactive and based on the popular reference title by William Sears, M.D., and Martha Sears, R.N, this CD-ROM is a contemporary parenting guide to raising children in the nineties. With more than 600 illustrations and over 30 minutes of original video, this disc brings every aspect of infant care to life, from newborn bonding to postpartum exercises and feeding strategies. With a customizable diary and calendar for recording milestones, and a search function for locating specific information, "The Baby Book CD-ROM" provides an educational and entertaining look at child care through age two. In 1995, the Baby Book CD-ROM won the Silver Award in Education from the International Interactive Communications Society.

Created for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals to help train a sales force new to the company, this CD-ROM engages users through Socratic dialogue helping to speed and improve the learning process. The CD-ROM course offers users the ability to learn and review key selling points, on demand with over 120 video clips, that help the them see, hear, and experience the different facets of the selling process.

Best Buys TV - Time Warner Interactive



Developed for Time Warner's Full Service Network (FSN) Ð the world's first digital, interactive broadband communications network Ð Best Buys TV sold more than 250,000 products ranging from stereos and VCRs to flowers and refrigerators. BBTV brought products direct from the manufacturer to the viewer's living room, and was the most successful retail channel during the FSN trial.

British Airways Ð Concorde '98 "Ride the Rocket" Tour

Incorporating five dynamic multimedia exhibits, the tour gives the public a taste of mach 2 travel, teaching about the aircraft's dynamics as well as demonstrating the quality of the Concorde flight experience. Touring high traffic public venues, such as shopping malls and airports, the trailer visited all of British Airways' twenty-two 'hub' cities across North America. The trailer unfolds to reveal several distinct environments, including "A View From the Concorde," and five interactive exhibits, each of which is set amongst a mounted informational display.

 

KPMG Clarity Exhibit and Interactive Kiosk

Positioned in the midst of the chaotic environment of the tradeshow floor, visitors seeking solutions to business challenges are drawn into the KPMG booth by the subtlety and serenity of its images and messages. The interactive kiosk allows the visitors to pursue information about the firm moving naturally from browsing to "experiencing" to "studying" KMPG offerings.

ACE System, Parke-Davis

Produced in 1992, the discovery-based ACE System allowed sales representatives of Parke-Davis to learn the benefits of Accupril, for high blood pressure and hypertension treatment. Participants conducted experiments, compiled research reports, and answered quizzes, challenging their knowledge as they progressed through the program. This training program was translated into five languages for a worldwide audience of 8,000 participants.

Alredase Interactive Seminars, Wyeth-Ayerst

The Alredase Interactive Seminars program, produced in 1993, allowed sales representatives of Wyeth-Ayerst to explore a simulated diabetology clinic, where they could witness a variety of informative procedures and presentations on Alredase, the Anti-Diabetic Neurothropy treatment. This training program was translated into four languages for an audience of 10,000 participants worldwide.

The Jack Morton Company, Manager of Interactive Media/Director of Interactive Production (1998 - 1999)

Responsible for the overall development, integration, growth, sales, and management of a full service interactive department within The Jack Morton Company. Supported sales effort by identifying opportunities with existing accounts, attending and conducting capabilities presentations, and developing proposals. Implemented customized interactive production process. Managed staff and freelance resources responsible for several concurrent, cross office and cross discipline projects. Developed and executed sales and marketing materials to build the department's brand internally and externally. Lead team in generating and delivering on over $1.7 million in business in 1998, and $700,000 YTD in 1999. Expanded interactive abilities and understanding to offices without internal representation. Clients included: Aetna US, British Airways, Chase Manhattan, CNBC, Deloitte & Touche, Lifetime TV, Lucent Technologies, NBC, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, KPMG, PaineWebber, Cushman & Wakefield, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pharmicia & Upjohn, and many others.

Time Warner Interactive and Time Warner Cable - Broadband Applications, Producer (1994 - 1997)

Oversaw the production of web-based applications for the RoadRunner cable modem service, interactive television programs for The Full Service Network, and commercial CD-ROM titles. Hired and managed multiple production teams. Defined job roles and responsibilities, negotiated compensation, conducted performance and salary reviews. Developed production budgets, marketing strategies, and cost/benefit assessments. Created prototypes, demos, and research efforts for new product lines. Developed strategic relationships with content providers and technical partners. Managed client communications, goals, and expectations. Negotiated copyright and trademark licensing, royalty compensation, and business contracts. Designed and managed usability studies, focus groups, and testing efforts. Projects include: The Virtual Garden, The Baby BookÐOnline, Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, Best Buys TV, and the award winning: The Baby Book CD-ROM.

 

CD·One, Inc., Co-founder and Principal (1993 - 1997)

Developed administrative and marketing policies for a company specializing in CD-ROM production and publishing. Established comprehensive sales strategies to target new markets, track leads, and improve the customer feedback process. Clients include: ABC Television Network, Aniforms, BAM! Software, Inc., BMI, Byron Preiss Multimedia Company, Biomedia, CBS, DIGI·ROM, Earl Graves Publishing, Harper Collins Interactive, J. Walter Thompson, Judson Rosebush Co., McCann Erickson, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York University, Simon & Schuster Interactive, Software Sculptors, Vanguard Media, Windsor Digital, and many others.

VIDEOGRAF, Inc. , Producer/Instructional-Interactive Designer (1992 - 1994)

Responsible for the interactive design, development, and implementation of an extensive learning system for Parke-Davis pharmaceuticals (Alredase Interactive Seminars) and Wyeth-Ayerst pharmaceuticals (ACE System). Supervised and managed a production team consisting of subject matter experts, writers, graphic designers, programmers, and others
